Broken PC and languorous Attitude

November 1, 2009

Aslam o Alaikum,
You must have noticed that recently the activities at Alhamdolillah Web log have slowed down (quite evident from number of posts made last month) and the reason is absence of blog author. With the course of time, PC lost its health. One fine morning, it wasn’t in a condition to work. It did power up but Windows were simply too heavy to be loaded. Hard Drive stopped doing it’s job either. This laptop along with others isn’t in a condition to be repaired.

So, Blog Author wanted me to communicate that she will be back and continue the lessons for children, InshaAllah. She will also restart posting useful stuff. But there is a break for some time, may be a month InshaAllah. While, I am more languorous than busy. I will try to ensure that this web log is alive.

Subjected are the reasons for state of lull at this blog and here is a random picture.

Hardship & Relief

October 19, 2009

فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا (٥) إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرً۬ا (٦)

So, verily, along with every hardship is relief. Verily, along with every hardship is relief.

Barbed Wire Clouds

Tranquility behind Barbed Wires

(i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs).

[…] Rough rocks, terrifying sandstorms, muddy pathways, burning sun and precarious voyage of several days tested his determination and resilience. Without any companion and no footprints to follow – a single incorrect decision could have buried him under layers of sand or offered vultures a delicious meal. Ration was limited; water was rare; but he chose life for himself. With parched lips, dehydrated skin, grimy hair and tearless eyes, as he arrived the town; his son was waiting for him to hear the stories of courage and success. […]

[…] Railing, dropping, volleying, squeezing and tickling – he was celebrating his success by hitting the double yellow dotted black ball with tremendous zeal. Except echoes of his smashes, the squash courts were silent. Years of ache were fading away. The struggle and hard work brought the dawn that was cracking the darkness of pain.[…]

[…] Sitting beside the man of her dreams, she forgot all the woes and worries. The memories of taunts and flouts of her ironic stepmother never evoked again. She was in the valley of love encircled by peace and happiness. […]

[…] She spent her life striving for peace and well-off of her children. Her husband passed away when she was young and kids were small. She never married again and spent her life working in fields and doing small jobs. Now her face was peaceful like a few months baby sleeping and smiling. The white hair was touching her wrinkled skin. She kissed the hand of her youngest son and advised the family to live with love. She looked at them and closed her eyes peacefully without any pain. It was raining heavily, outside. […]

Lesson 8 For Children : Salah (Part 07 – Durood)

October 16, 2009

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bissmillah-i-Rahman-i-Raheem

(In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

Assalamoalaikum,
Durood is recited after Tashahhud, we learnt in the previous lesson.

Durood:

“Allahumma Salli ala Muhammadin
wa ‘ala Ali Muhammadin
Kama Sallaita ‘ala Ibrahima
wa ‘ala ali Ibrahima
Innaka Hameed-um-Majid

Allahumma barik ‘ala Muhammad-in
wa ‘ala ali Muhammadin
Kama barakat ‘ala Ibrahima
wa ‘ala ali Ibrahima
innaka Hameed-um-Majid”

“O God ! bestow benediction on Muhammad and on his offspring just as You showered benediction on Abrahim and on his offspring. Most certainly You are adorned with the best qualities and are elevated in thought.

O God ! confer blessings on Muhammad and on his offspring just as You conferred blessings on Abrahim and on his offspring. Most certainly You are adorned with the best qualities and are sublime.”

Roman Script
Zamaney mein koi burai nahen hai,
Faqt ik tasalsul ka jhoola rawan hai,
Yeh mein keh raha hon.

Mein koi burai nahen hon,
Zamana nahen hon,
Tasalsul ka jhoola nahen hon.
Mujhey kiya khabbar, kiya burai mein hai,
Kiya zamaney mein hai.
Aur phir mein tou yeh bhi kahon ga keh jo shaye akaili rahey,
Uss ki manzil fana hi fana hai.

Burai, Bhalai, Zamana, Tasalsul, Yeh baatein baqa key gharaney sey ayii hui hain.
Mujhey tou kisi bhi gharaney sey koi tauluq nahen.

Mein hon aik aur mein akaila hon,
Ik ajnabi hon.
Yeh basti, Yeh jungle, Yeh behtey huey rastey aur darya, Yeh parbat, Achanak nigahon mein aati hui koi oonchi imarat, Yeh ujrey huey maqbaray aur marg-e-musalsal ki surat mujawir, Yeh hanstey huey nanhey bachey, Yeh gari sey takra key marta hua ik andha musafir, Huwain, Nabatat aur Asmaan per idher sey udher aatey jatey huey chand badil.
Yeh kiya hain?

Yehi tou zamana hai.
Yeh ik tasalsul ka jhoola rawan hai.
Yeh mein keh raha hon.

Yeh basti, Yeh jungle, Yeh rastey aur Yeh darya, Yeh parbat, Imaaraat, Mujhawir, Musafir, Huwain, Nabatat, aur Asman per idher sey udher aatey jatey huey chand badal, Yeh sab kuch, her shaye merey hi gharaney sey ayii huii hai.
Zamana hon mein.
Merey hi dam sey un-mit tasalsul ka jhoola rawan hai,
Magar mujh Mein koi burai nahen hai, Yeh kaisey kahon mein?

Keh mujh mein fana aur baqa donon aa ker milley hain.

Phases and Duniya..

October 8, 2009

Bissmillahi Rahmani Raheem.

Assalamoalikum,alhamdolillah

I think I had been absent for some time due to being very busy with the family and also sorting myself out. Sometimes we go through silly phases and I am so relieved that I am back to the real world!! Alhamdolillah!!

InshaAllah I will be posting some useful stuff again as I have restarted my study on Quran. May Allah give us all taufeeq to do good for ourselves and everyone around us, ameen.

I also wanted to share some verses which ALWAYS makes me think..

20. Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children, as the likeness of vegetation after rain, thereof the growth is pleasing to the tiller; afterwards it dries up and you see it turning yellow; then it becomes straw. But in the Hereafter (there is) a severe torment (for the disbelievers, evil-doers), and (there is) Forgiveness from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure (for the believers, good-doers), whereas the life of this world is only a deceiving enjoyment.

21. Race one with another in hastening towards Forgiveness from your Lord (Allah), and towards Paradise, the width whereof is as the width of heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers. That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He pleases. And Allah is the Owner of Great Bounty.

( Surah Al Hadid, Chapter 7,  Verses 20 and 21)

May Allah forgive us all, ameen.

My Pushto Poetry…

September 30, 2009

Assalamoalaikum.

A reminder again, I am not a poet, so do not view it as a critical piece of art. I just wanted to share a poem I .. “thought”.

Although it’s about love, I call it “Rokhaan” (Bright).

Rokhaan:

Zama chi mina kala laraa,

Saa sara ba nachoorigi rana..

Za na da mini samandar yum,

Na da josh yo tez toofaan,

Da gulab yo nazaka paraan yum

Pa minay yum rokhaan..

Translation :

I am writing a literal translation of the poem, which doesnt make sense…

Like blood flows through the veins,

This is a very low degree.

Like a rose petal is full of “arq” (juice)

Love is spread through my soul.

( which means that, it is a low degree of love that it should flow through your body like blood, and that my love is like a rose petals juice, spread throughout the petal.. )

It’s not so easy,

That the finger is  cut and all the “love” would flow out..

If my love were to be lost,

It would be squeezed out of me with my breath.

( If love were like blood, it could even be lost through a single cut on the finger, which means, any trauma from the beloved could make it disappear, but for love to go away from me, it would have to be with my death..)

Neither am I a sea of  love,

Nor a big storm of passion,

I ama delicate petal of a rose,

Brightened by my love…

( Brightened by my love, means the love inside me gives me my softness and brightness and everything, like the juice in a petal gives it its appearance and fragrance.. in essence, my life is fuelled by my love..)

I think this is very true in my case, and I am like this in every relation in my life, wether it’s with my Lord, or my husband or my children or siblings.. may Allah put respect and love in our hearts for each other ameen.

Dedicated to the people I love….
